Quick Eats: Maggiano’s, Chicago

Our first real date, Matt and I, was at Maggiano’s, almost two years ago. I still remember that day. It was good food, but we ordered too much (to think we cancelled our flatbread order because it was taking too long). So when we got the opportunity to come here again, it was a happy treat.

We ordered both things on the featured menu, which are the crab asparagus bruschetta, as well as the chicken romano. Matt ordered off the house menu specials (you get to eat one and get another one free to bring home! AMAZING!) of the carbonara, plus a take-home of the lasagna. And of course, who can decline dessert. We had the spumoni. Ice cream with three flavors of chocolate, strawberry and pistachio.

My chicken romano
It looks plain. But it was goooood

And you know, with the gracious host, very accommodating managers and our attentive server, along with the great food, I do not have a single bad comment. Okay, maybe one. We were too full by the end of the meal. But the bruschetta was so good. The chicken was the right tang, and the carbonara the right creaminess, and the dessert! With our free lemon cookies! Wow. And all of our take home food lasted us 3 more meals. Crazy.

Free cookies for a birthday!

I am most probably biased about this place because of the memories we make here. But I will always go back here. 🙂
