Caprese Salad

I have done in Manila but I don’t think I was able to do two things. One was to get these giant sweet tomatoes, and the other is, soak my  mozzarella in milk, or even let it come to temperature beforehand. How was I to know that? But based on a food group that I have joined, that is how you treat cheese. Let it come to room temperature before eating.


So anyway, I decided to do the soaking in warm salted milk for the mozzarella before eating it. I read in some sites (Serious Eats) that it makes the cheese taste fresher. Less gummy.

The colors turned out really pretty though. 🙂 I love how everything looks bright, fresh and amazing!
