Remember that moment where we ate at a Ay Ay Picante and found the sauce to be absolutely wonderful? Well, I did research on it and followed the recipe generally. Oh but you know me!
Mine yielded to about a cup in total. My ratio are totally different, just because of preference in flavors.
Peruvian Green Sauce Recipe
3 jalapenos seeded and sliced
1 jalapeno sliced (keep the heat)
3 cloves of garlic, smashed and peeled
about a cup of cilantro
juice of half a lime
1/3 cup of oil
1/4 cup of water
2 tablespoons of mayo
salt to taste
Put all in a blender and adjust to your liking. I wanted mine to be hotter than what I have tried at the resto. Use on bread, chicken, porkchops (was wonderful!!!)
