So this was the day we said we were going to try to be good and actually stopped eating out. But Matt wanted a quick bite, and I was very adamant about being hungry. That if we were going to eat out, we better eat. Otherwise, I would want to stay home and get some real food. And… Chicken and waffles won!
Matt brought me here, and this was totally new to me. We just came from mass that time. The place was full and more people were beginning to stream in. Halfway through our meal, there were tons of groups waiting to be seated. It looked like a regular breakfast/brunch/lunch place especially on the weekends. We looked at the menu, decided to share a meal of two piece chicken, one of fish, with three sides. We ordered rice, mac and cheese, and collard greens. We also ordered a waffle because, well, it was supposed to be chicken and waffle.
The single plate of food arrived and it was huge. There were also a slice of corn bread in it and that looked good too. We split up the plate and everything was so good. I can imagine how people get a craving for this, with all the different side options too. It was just really good. Though I was full by the time we finished it (I only ate half of my share of the waffle), just thinking about it now is making me hungry. That good.
