I remember eating Jellyace before. It was in small cups, sold at the supermarket. Flavored gelatin in essence. I don’t have much memories of making Jello at home, though I remember having a mold of it before.
But I do remember accidentally learning to eat gelatin like this after all the many batches of buko pandan being made at home. This was actually the leftover from the pot. It sets on the side and at the bottom and I get to peel it off in thin strips. It becomes really chewy this way, cools fast too.
So these ones on the plate were cooled on a flat plate and spread like a crepe, cooling to a thin sheet, and do until everything is gone. So I ended up with 4 or 5 sheets of thin ones, plus the super thin one spread out on the pot.
I ate this spread out over two days, snacking on the gelatin. So good by the way! 🙂 I made it with pandan or corkscrew pine leaves. And it was delicious. 🙂
