Cooking at Home: A Great Breakfast, Brussel Sprouts, Shitake Mushroom, and Pre-made Salad

The gist of this post: I really dislike brussel sprouts because they taste like cabbage, I like all mushrooms, and there are wonderful salads ready to eat especially the one with the poppy seed dressing.

Brussel sprouts

Last time I went to the US, I tried to cook brussel sprouts. I didn’t like it. I took some frozen ones and added it to some pasta, and still I didn’t like 😦 I think I officially declare that a lost battle.

Shitake mushrooms is something I don’t usually buy on my own, but so many good mushrooms here, I bought two huge ones. These were seared and then sliced and added to a pasta dish again. Really good. Qualifies as exceptional actually!

Yu,

Yu,

Its hard to come by good pre-made salad bags here. This was grabbed by my cousin and I was happy we had it. The dressing was really good, and the mixture of the slaw, cranberries and nuts were exceptional!

Breakfast at home differs a bit too. Cottage cheese is good and creamy as it should be. Variety of fruits are different. Nobody will prepare my meal so I have to make it 🙂
