My friend’s mom is a member of Tagaytay Highlands. And my friend invited us over to spend time there. So we did.
We chose one of the restautrants, Saratoga, because its price was quite manageable. We ordered a mix of roasted chicken, beef tenderloin, philly steak sandwich, and burger steak for the kids. The salad was all tossed together to make one main salad. And we all ended up trying everything.
Though I was full, and I really love the steak sandwich, some of the food was funny. Their homemade vinaigrette, for the mango at least, I found too oily. And these were supposed to be popular. The chicken was supposed to have basil too, like a pesto of some sort. It just tasted like it was made with indian spices, which was good, but wasn’t what we were expecting. The tenderloin was good, but the plate looked so sad, because the serving was so small, that it wasn’t fun to eat anymore!
We ended up ordering dessert too, to finish off the gift certificates that we have. We ordered the pecan spiced cupcake. And you can skip that altogether. ::/
I think this is actually a good place. But I think they have to amp up the presentation, making things look like they should be in pictures and what not. And not underwhelm the consumers. 🙂
