True that most of the meals we have are of eating out, but all of our breakfasts are at home. Then there was a nigh of dinner that Ian and I (I am making him an accomplice) made a mess of the kitchen making sisig. Yep. Sisig in Sydney.
I was initially planning on making something with local ingredients. But our hosts are adamant we do Filipino food that they don’t get to enjoy. So sisig it was!
We bought some pork belly, then a mix of other ingredients for a sald and for foodie enthusiasm, and just breakfast. I bought cheese because they were cheap and lovely.
So we made sisig, with rice of course, plus salad of feta, tomatoes, arugula and greens.
The other pictures are omelette made with bacon and eggs (seemed to be a staple in that week we were there) along with tomatoes and mushroom. I had my share of cheese breakfasts too. I also discovered the macadamia spread which is about as yummy as nutella. I want more. Then there’s this brie on sale. Only about Php100 🙂
