Roast chicken

Roast chicken

One set-up i never thought of. When buying food for take out makes it cheaper than to dine-in. Of course this makes sense! Less clean-up, faster turnover, lesser rental space, that type. So how come no one ever made this concept applicable to the country? Well, we already have our random kiosks, and they have actually expand to accommodate eat-ins. Well, to each his own.

Our breads

Our breads and salad

This was supposed to be a popular chicken. Like middle eastern roasted chicken. We ordered half a chicken, along with complete sides, and the beef shawarma plate. Both have breads. We also ordered taboulih, a parsley salad of some sort.

This was really good!!! I didn’t eat any of the pickled sides though because I really don’t like sour pickled stuff (sweet pickled stuff are good). But the garlic sauce, and the hummus/tahini sauce of the shawarma, it was sooooo good I could have eaten that alone with the bread and I would have been happy. Dishes were about AUD$10, I think. So our meal would have been AUD $30.

I am realizing that I like most of the food in Sydney. Surprisingly I didn’t gain any weight from all the good food. Maybe because of all the insane walking we did. 🙂
