I have eaten at Yabu and Saboten, with Yabu still topping the list. I have eyed this place whenever we pass by but was never attracted to it. Finally, wanting my brother to try the almost passe Tonkatsu fad, we ended up eating here. I ordered rosu, as usual. And he ordered Katsudon. We both had the same unlimited sides: miso soup, cabbage salad, and rice.

Differences between this place and the others were few. 1.) You don’t get to do your own sesame seed grinding, you have a grinder on the table. 2.) You have an onion vinaigrette which was fabulous. Aaaand, that was about it. the prices are about the same, the choices are more plentiful in Terazawa, but at the end of the day, if you order just the same thing, well, it would make no difference. 🙂

The place was full, considering it was a Thursday night. The servers were attentive, like all the other places were. So nothing really. 🙂 But I am a loyal fan of Yabu, though I rarely eat there now. And to Yabu I shall go back to 🙂
