Our neighbor sent over some of their harvested fruits from their farm in the province and this included huge calamansi fruits that almost are the size of small dalandans! Calamansi to a pinoy household functions the same way as lemon does in any American or western household. The flavors are more fruity than sour, less tart, if comparing against a lemon. But this might be the biggest ones I have seen in a long time that it deserved a comparison.
With the calamansi bounty, I decided to make some calamansi juice. I heated some sugar and water to make a sugar syrup, then squeezed some calamansi into a pitcher. Once the sugar syrup has cooled down, I added the syrup to the pitcher, added ice and water, and there you have it 🙂
Of course, the flavors are all to taste 🙂 And the taste was so damn good 🙂
