Quick Eats: Kabila, Greenbelt 4, Makati

My shot looks weird. Sorry!
My shot looks weird. Sorry!

I was planning to have dinner in Greenbelt last Friday and couldn’t really decide if to hit my favorite restos or try something. Luckily, we ended up with something new after I pushed for it. 🙂

Kabila, meaning, “beside” is a restaurant of the same group as M Cafe, which is basically the main or at least initial restaurant in the area. The cafe serves more light dishes, like a cafe, so perhaps they saw a need for an alternate, and there is Kabila.

And so did this shot...

Kabila features more of an upgraded Filipino food. There were a lot of familiar but upgraded things on the menu, but we were just two, and couldn’t try a lot of the dishes. We ordered the sizzling mushroom with garlic, US Beef Adobo, and alamang rice.

The dishes were actually very familiar, and nothing out of the ordinary. But I guess the ambiance made up for it. It was cozy, a little bit dark and just right to talk and chill. The food was good, nothing unusual though. But comfort food.

I decided to order dessert because I was craving for something sweet. Not on their menu, they offered the cookie dough cheesecake. It was heaven. I am so glad I ended up going for this rather than the surprise item on their dessert. It was baked, just the way I like it, and the cookie dough, would have expected that it might make it too sweet, but it didn’t. YUMMY.

I enjoyed the food. Estimated it cost about P1300 to P1500 in all, not sure. But the runaway hit, the cheesecake! 🙂
