Maroon Patani/Lima Beans

I like lima beans. I love it that I can call it my favorite bean, which sounds really odd, and crazy. But I do like my food you know. 🙂 The only problem is having to peel the outer skin it has, which, when dealing with the smaller beans, is really annoying. But mom came from the province and found this different kind of variety and it looks so pretty.

Supposedly, this variety is starchier, and have more depth in flavor. But lima beans is patani is lima beans and I was happy camper eating this. I didn’t post anymore a picture of what I made because it was just some chicken broth with patani in it, all boiled and season together. No so difficult, but yummy nonetheless. 🙂
