Another Japanese place, another ramen house. I don’t know the reputation of this place and so had no idea on what to expect here. But I wanted ramen, so Kenji Tei it is.
This ramen place actually started in BF Homes in Paranaque. That’s nearer my place, truth be told, but since I hardly go there unless initiated by my “north” friends, I hardly get to explore it. My friend, Sush, has eaten here several times and knows what’s good. She suggested some orders, and I settled on the Spicy Onion Leek Ramen. Her order was the Onion Leek Ramen. And we shared a crunchy maki between us. Carlo who arrived a few minutes later, ordered gyoza, chicken (karaage) and another protein dish.
The regular order was cheaper by most ramen standards, and I was surprised that the bowl was actually more than sufficient for one. But an initial taste failed to excite me. And so did the rest of the ramen. The other dishes too were just so-so for me. But my favorite was the crunchy maki. I could have eaten tons of it. But you know, i didn’t 🙂
So will I go back here again? Yeah! But not for the ramen. For the maki, yes 🙂
