I have already mentioned this resto here, when Sushee and I tried it in Greenbelt. But since we only ordered the pad thai, I figured that another mention here would be fine. They have recently opened here in Southmall, and apparently, this place is my ate’s favorite restaurant in Bangkok. Surprisingly, this branch felt different than the one from Greenbelt. It had a different, more open vibe.
We were three, including Maven, and we ordered quite a lot. Chicken with basil, chicken satay, pad thai, green chicken curry, spring rolls, and tom yum. Everything was on a so-so level. The best thing that I liked was the chicken satay, which is hardly the biggest thing I ate. You know how sometimes you have that feeling that you discovered something utterly new and fab? Well, I didn’t feel that here. Everything was good, but not memorable. Maybe except the coconut of the chicken curry. I loved that thick coconut milk. 🙂 But the pad thai, too saucy, and I had a bad shrimp which I complained about. The spring rolls were okay. Tom yum was too sour. Blah blah blah. (Maybe I have PMS?!?)
And I was aghast to discover our bill, with mom’s senior citizen discount, totaled to P1800! I found that totally insane. I wasn’t even that happy! Extremely over-rated I think. Sad though to think that this could have been a great new resto on my side of the town, but it’s so-so. Oh well.
