I love local gourmet items. It makes me feel like I’m helping the local business grow (which I techinically am). But I only love it when it really is good. When I knew that I found something to die for.
This chocolate was actually something not for me. I tasted it once before, and found it too bitter and rough, oppose of smooth? It doesn’t melt in your mourth like other chocolate does, but just sits there, to be chewed on. And I forgot all about it.
A year or so after, I spied this in Echo Store in Serendra in Taguig. It was rapped beautifully still, and now comes in random flavors. Upon recommendation of the store owners, I bought a three pieces, two of queso de bloa, and one of coffee and chocolate. I was excited. Then I ate it. it was too bitter for my taste still, considering I like dark chocolate. And it still had that rough texture. Boo.
Sorry. Not this time.
